Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house using a combined gross residence earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family earnings doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, nsfas login as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
